Jazzy serves as the Policy Advisor for the Alliance for Entrepreneurial Equity, a partnership between Third Way and the National Urban League. As a native Nashvillian, Jazzy found herself surrounded by small businesses, whether it be her mother’s own real estate company or the restaurateurs on Jefferson Street. She is committed to ensuring that minority owned small businesses have the same access to resources and capital, as other small businesses.

Prior to joining Third Way, Jazzy worked at the United States House of Representatives. She started as a Capitol Hill intern and went on to achieve the titles of Staff Assistant, Legislative Correspondent , and Legislative Assistant in Congressman Jim Cooper’s office.

While working for the United States House of Representatives, Jazzy was responsible for a diverse portfolio of issues. Most recently, she held the position of Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett. There, she spearheaded the Congressional Caucus on Black Innovation, a congressional member organization dedicated to promoting policy that sustains and protects Black entrepreneurship and innovation, while at the same time dismantling systemic barriers which prevent wealth creation within Black communities.

Jazzy attended Rhodes College where she received her B.A. in International Studies and History with a minor in French. In her free time, she enjoys learning different languages, taking her rescue dog on walking adventures, and traveling up and down the East Coast with her sister.
