Annual Staff Retreats

Every summer, Third Way staff gathers for a two-day retreat outside of DC. We create space to relax, learn about our colleagues as people, and discover new ways to actualize Third Way's mission and objectives.

Buddy Program

We want all new employees to understand that they belong at Third Way. The Buddy Program connects New Employees with a Third Way Buddy to support the new employee’s transition into Third Way. The Buddy is a primary access point for entry into Third Way’s office culture, social network, contextual background, and unique language. New employees and their buddies are paired for the new employee’s first 90 days and during that time, there is lots to do: coffees, lunches, chats with colleagues around the office, and more!

Health Care

Third Way offers comprehensive and robust health care coverage to all eligible employees with minimal out-of-pocket expense to the employee.

HRA

Third Way provides all eligible employees with an employer-funded Health Reimbursement Account to offset any eligible out-of-pocket medical, dental, and vision expenses.

Healthcare Concierge

Third Way provides all eligible employees with personal concierge healthcare services to assist with benefits questions on coverage, claims, referrals, and more.

Auto-Enrolled 401k

Third Way employees are fully vested in the company’s retirement plan beginning the month after their start date. TW contributes 4% of the base salary to the employee’s retirement account, regardless of whether the employee contributes or not.

FSA

Third Way offers three different tax-deferred FSA accounts (funded by employees) – Health, Commuter (transit/parking—including UberPool), and Dependent Care.

Life, Long-term Disability, and AD&D

Third Way provides employer-paid life insurance at 2X the employee’s annual salary; LTD and AD&D at 66-3/4 of the employee’s salary.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Third Way offers a confidential Employee Assistant Program (EAP) to all full-time employees to assist with work and personal challenges.

Travel Assistance

Third Way provides employees and their dependent(s) with 24/7 emergency support anytime employees travel more than 100 miles away from home.

Paid Federal Holidays

Third Way provides 11 paid holidays per year. This includes most Federal holidays (excluding Columbus Day) and the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Paid Sick Leave

Third Way cares about the health and wellbeing of our staff. Employees accrue up to 12 sick days per calendar year.

Paid Vacation

Third Way offers paid vacation to all eligible employees. Employees are eligible to accrue up to 3 weeks during their first year of employment and 4 weeks of paid vacation starting with the second year of employment.

Parental Leave

Family first! Third Way understands the importance of family bonding. We support our employees by providing up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave for the birth, adoption, or fostering a child after one full year of employment.

Pet Insurance

Third Way provides employees the opportunity to purchase pet insurance through Pets Best at preferred pricing rates. Employees may elect this benefit at any time.

Third Way reimburses our employees $50 per month for use of their personal cell phones for business-related purposes.
