Colin Kerr

Colin Kerr is a Higher Education Policy Advisor at Third Way, where he works to advance federal higher education policies that strengthen return on investment, improve financial transparency and support students in making informed and valuable education choices. Before joining Third Way, Colin spent three years on the University of Illinois System’s federal relations team, where he discovered his passion for higher education policy and helped champion the system’s priorities in Washington. His interest in public service began even earlier, through work on political campaigns and internships with Senator Dick Durbin in both Springfield and Washington, DC. Colin holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration and policy from the University of Illinois Springfield. Born and raised in Springfield, Illinois, he is a Chicago Cubs fan, an avid home cook, and enjoys spending time outdoors.
