Angelina’s passion for shifting the policy conversation surrounding higher education began during her own time in school. As a female with a disability, Angelina’s path to college was met with hurdles. It’s this personal experience and the recognition everyone deserves equal access and opportunity to education that sparked her passion and desire to make a change in the world.

As Education Press Coordinator, Angelina elevates and expands the reach of Third Ways higher education research and policy recommendations by gaining visibility in the press and on social media. And by shifting media coverage of the federal higher education conversation to focus on student outcomes.

She graduated with a B.A. in Communication Studies from Texas State University and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Arkansas. Angelina was born and raised in Houston Texas and is a devoted Astros fan. During her free time, she loves to hang out with her twin sister Serena and their two dogs, Lily and Luna.
