We have a college completion crisis in the United States, where colleges graduate just over half of all the students they enroll. College completion matters as those with a college degree are more likely to be active citizens, have better health outcomes, and bring in $1 million dollars more over the course of their lifetimes. We are heartened to see the federal government acknowledge the importance of getting students to and through college with a first-of-its kind investment in college completion.
