Sarah McCammon is an award-winning journalist; a former co-host of the NPR Politics Podcast and national political correspondent at NPR; and a New York Times bestselling author of The Exvangelicals: Loving, Living, and Leaving the White Evangelical Church (2024).
Sarah's writing has focused on political, social, and cultural divides in America, including religion and reproductive rights. She was a frequent guest host for NPR news magazines and has appeared on the BBC, CNN, PBS, and MSNBC. She previously reported for NPR Member stations in Georgia, Iowa, and Nebraska and a daily newspaper in the Chicago area.
She is a Senior Fellow, adding a fresh voice to Third Way's Moderate Power Project (MPP), the largest new center-left effort to bolster moderates begun since the 2024 election.
