Rory Gaudette
Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Rory earned her B.A. in Economics and Government from the University of Texas at Austin, where coursework in econometrics and public policy sparked her interest in applying data to policy questions.
After graduating, Rory served as Operations Coordinator at Austin Achieve Public Schools, where she used data to improve transportation services for students across the district. She relocated to Washington, D.C., to pursue a Master of Public Policy at Georgetown University. During her time at Georgetown, Rory studied the Child Tax Credit’s impact on low-income families as a Research Associate and served as a Teaching Assistant for a core economic policy course.
Rory joined Third Way as the Economic Fellow before moving into her current role as Policy Advisor for the Economic Program. She focuses on family economic security, workforce training, and fiscal issues.
Outside of the office, Rory enjoys playing volleyball, reading, and knitting.
