As the Director of Learning and Organizational Development at Third Way, Luke has spearheaded efforts to transform the organization’s culture into one that is constantly learning and improving. Luke’s focus on mentoring staff, lead Third Way’s professional development programming, facilitating staff retreats, and designing external workshops has made Third Way a more attractive place for talented employees to work.
Before joining Third Way, Luke gained valuable experience leading Congressman-elect Paul Hodes’ transition team. During his time in this role, he successfully opened five district offices, established office protocols and systems, and recruited and managed constituent advisory groups. These efforts helped ensure that the Congressman’s work was known and understood back home, and helped build strong relationships with stakeholders in the district. Luke also played a key role in designing and executing the 2009 Presidential Inauguration activities for the office, demonstrating his expertise in project management and event planning.
Currently, Luke leads a team devoted to the development of Third Way’s exceptional staff. He created a well-respected fellowship program and provides ongoing training and mentorship to employees to ensure that they have the skills and support they need to succeed.
Luke is passionate about creating a culture of learning and improvement. He believes that organizations must constantly evolve to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world, and he works tirelessly to ensure that Third Way is at the forefront of this evolution.
Luke, a proud Texan and a graduate of The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, enjoys playing golf and exploring the BBQ offerings of the mid-Atlantic region when not working to improve Third Way.
Overall, Luke’s leadership and dedication to staff development has been a driving force behind Third Way’s success. His ability to lead complex projects, build strong relationships, and create a culture of learning and development has made him a valuable asset to the organization. With Luke leading learning and organizational development, Third Way is well-positioned to continue its growth and success in the years to come.
