John Collison

John Collison is the Senior Advisor for Foundation Grants at Third Way, where he is responsible for stewarding relationships with the organization's foundation donors. John brings to the role demonstrated experience in program management and policy support in fast-paced non-profit environments. Prior to joining Third Way, John supported the National Democratic Institute, managing democracy assistance portfolios in the Eurasia region. He is deeply passionate about international affairs, public policy, and democracy. A native of San Diego, John studied Political Science/International Relations at the University of California, San Diego, which further inspired his passion for policy analysis and international and domestic policy. After graduating, he moved to Washington DC as an intern for NDI and spent several years developing skills in grant administration, program management, and proposal development. In his free time, John is passionate about international travel, rock concerts, and watching classic movies.
