Alison Kay

Alison Kay is co-founder of KIDS Capital, a long-biased, global fundamental equity investment firm based in Beverly Hills, CA. A self-trained investor, she invests primarily in high-quality “compounders” run by great management teams. Previously Alison co-founded and ran an apparel manufacturing business, where she experienced firsthand the significant operational differences between traditional retailers and their more efficient, data-driven, disruptive online competitors.

Alison’s deep-seated passion for children’s well-being and commitment to localized philanthropy underlie her personal mission to materially improve the lives of children in Los Angeles. She serves as an Angel for Baby2Baby and on the Board of H.E.A.R.T., the external fundraising arm for the Violence Intervention Program, the largest child abuse clinic in the country. Alison firmly believes the wealth gap in the U.S. is one of the most pressing national security issues the country faces. Originally inspired by the success of Superannuation in Australia, Alison is helping her husband on an initiative to expand access to the Thrift Savings Plan (T.S.P.) to Americans making the median income and below. A white paper on this initiative can be found here: https://inclusivewealth.eig.org/policy/.

Alison received her B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University in 2006. Family is her top priority, and she resides in Beverly Hills with her husband and their two younger kids, Leon and Vito, and she has two adult stepchildren, Talita and Tassilo.
