Today’s Higher Ed System Explained, in Video

Higher education is supposed to serve as a ladder of upward mobility, providing students with a quality degree, a good job, and an opportunity to earn a better life. But only half of all students who enter postsecondary education go on to earn a degree, showing that the ladder for many of today’s students is rickety. It’s for this reason we need stronger federal oversight to make sure both students and taxpayers see a return on the investment they make in higher education each year. Third Way’s animated video series highlights where higher education policy falls short and possible solutions for how the federal government can improve quality and value for all students.
