Letter to Senate Leadership Regarding the ACA’s Individual Mandate

House GOP efforts to delay the individual mandate in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) would increase health insurance premiums for Americans with coverage. We call on the Senate to reject political stunts concerning the ACA during negotiations over the debt limit and government funding, each of which will determine the economic future of the nation. The individual mandate is critical to the stability and security of the middle class and should be preserved.
