Thanks to President Biden and Congressional Democrats, enrollees in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace saw their health insurance premiums drop significantly. These savings resulted from the enhanced premium tax credits passed in the American Rescue Plan and Inflation Reduction Act. Overall, this Democratic cost cap saves ACA enrollees $62 a month, or $744 a year—with four of every five enrollees paying $10 or less for coverage.
