Trump’s Republican Party kicked off the RNC with a message laser-targeted to suburban voters—from seven decades ago.

Like we’ve seen throughout his administration, Trump failed to do the homework. His sexist and bigoted pitch last night shows he has no idea who these voters are and what they care about. More voters of color now live in the suburbs than cities and rural areas combined. And after a suburban revolt that powered the blue wave in 2018, Democrats have a huge opportunity to win these modern and diverse communities decisively this fall.
