Our current college accreditation system fails to provide the quality assurance that students expect, as too many of them fail to take into account the factors that matter most – student outcomes. The College Affordability Act (CAA)the House-proposed update to the Higher Education Act, takes an important step in the right direction towards improving this outdated system. And, CAA could do more on accreditation to truly ensure that students are attending high-quality programs and institutions.
