Dr. Ellen Hughes-Cromwick Sets the Record Straight on US Energy Outlook in E&C Hearing

On May 23, Dr. Ellen Hughes-Cromwick, Third Way's Senior Resident Fellow for the Climate and Energy Program, and previously the Chief Economist of the Department of Commerce and former Chief Global Economist at Ford, testified for the Energy and Commerce Committee Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Hearing. 

Dr. Hughes-Cromwick addressed, Growing the Domestic Energy Sector Supply Chain and Manufacturing Base: Are Federal Efforts Working? She made the case that there is emerging evidence that the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act are fostering investment in the clean energy supply chain and its associated manufacturing base. However, there is still work to be done.
