Do you know the state of American higher education?
A new report from our education team documents the state of higher education outcomes by looking at how America's four-year, two-year, and certificate-granting institutions are performing on three key metrics:
- Graduation rates
- Post-enrollment earnings
- Student loan repayment rates
Overall, the federal government gives $130 billion to institutions of higher education every year. With that much at stake, it’s imperative that students and taxpayers understand how this money is being used and the outcomes that federal-funded institutions produce. Some institutions graduate most of their students, increase their earning potential, and enable them to adequately repay their student loans. However, there are also many others that do not. This look at the State of American Higher Education Outcomes demonstrates that there is more work to be done.
