Michael Garcia

Jump to section...

The number of cybersecurity bills proposed in Congress has climbed steadily in recent years. Likewise, such bills have continued to surge in state legislatures. Michael Garcia, a senior policy advisor for Third Way’s National Security Program, spoke on a panel at the Cyber Maryland Conference to discuss his latest paper on cybersecurity bills introduced in the 116th Congress and how existing federal grants could be used to fight cybercrime. His co-panelists also discussed the range of cybersecurity issues that state legislatures are seeking to address and what cybersecurity bills are currently moving through the Maryland General Assembly in particular.
