Trump chooses to inflict extraordinary harm to unilaterally destroy Obamacare

"President Trump aims his wrath squarely at the most vulnerable Americans in his fervor to sabotage the Affordable Care Act. His latest decision to end the cost-sharing subsidies will dramatically increase premium payments that low-income Americans must pay to access health care. Timed one month before open-enrollment begins, his decision will also jeopardize affordable care for millions more in a serious blow to the American health system. The White House has shown a complete disregard for the well-being of our families and neighbors whose lives are literally hanging in the balance. Bipartisan proposals like the ones we have recommended to fix the problems with the current system could instead deliver the high-quality, affordable care they deserve. But instead of pursuing these commonsense ideas, the President is choosing to inflict extraordinary harm to unilaterally destroy Obamacare."
