Third Way’s Responds on House Republicans Attempt to Gut Clean Energy in FY2024 Funding Bill
Yesterday, the House Appropriations Committee Republicans released the draft fiscal year 2024 Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies funding bill, which will be sent to the subcommittee tomorrow.
In response, Third Way has released the following statement from Josh Freed, Third Way’s Senior Vice President of the Climate and Energy Program.
“American workers and businesses finally have the tools to compete for a global clean energy market worth trillions. The House Republican plan in the FY24 Energy and Water appropriations would give up on these very companies and workers and hand the advantage back to the Chinese government.
“Investing in clean energy is key to reducing Americans’ energy costs and making it more secure. Weakening programs that are bringing crucial supply chains and jobs back to our shores undermines our economy and security.”
