Third Way Statement on USMCA Trade Deal

WASHINGTON — Third Way released the following statement from Gabe Horwitz, Senior Vice President for the Economic Program:

"We are thrilled to see an agreement on the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the New Democrat Coalition, Senate champions, and labor leaders have been working tirelessly to ensure that any agreement has strong, 21^st century rules. Through their leadership, we have an agreement that not only vastly improves the old NAFTA trade deal from a quarter century ago, but is also a huge step up from the original deal proposed by President Trump. This agreement is a win for workers, farmers, American employers, and the country."
