Third Way Statement on ADVANCE Act Passage

WASHINGTON—Today, Third Way released the following statement from Senior Vice President Josh Freed on the passage of the Accelerating Deployment of Versatile, Advanced Nuclear for Clean Energy (ADVANCE) Act. The legislation passed as part of the Fire Grants and Safety Act, which passed the Senate by an 88 - 2 vote on Tuesday evening.

“Advanced nuclear could give the US the clean energy our power and industrial sectors need—and help our allies do the same, without having to do business with unreliable foreign actors.

We cannot unlock the full potential of American-made nuclear without lowering the economic and regulatory barriers that slow its development and deployment. The ADVANCE Act will improve the process to get more nuclear technology online at home and abroad, making deployment more efficient and effective.
