Third Way Applauds the Supreme Court’s Decision to Protect Dreamers

WASHINGTON – Third Way released the following statement from Jim Kessler, Executive Vice President for Policy:

“Once again this week we are thrilled by the Supreme Court. Trump’s baseless attack against Dreamers has finally been thrown out. The majority correctly ruled that his revocation of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) was unlawful, siding with hundreds of thousands who are Americans in every way but on paper.”

“Dreamers have kept every promise they have ever made to us. They are integral parts of our communities and our country. It is now time for us to keep our promises to them. We must ensure that Congress finally passes permanent legal protections with a pathway to citizenship. Never again should Dreamers worry if they will be able to remain in the one home they have ever known.”
