“How many times do voters have to tell them before the far left believes it? They don’t want radicalism, purity tests, or showmanship in their elected officials; they want moderation, reasonableness, and productivity. The Democratic primary voters of New York’s 16^th congressional district have trumpeted that message once again, replacing Jamaal Bowman with a moderate, pragmatic workhorse in George Latimer.

“Latimer’s victory is another important reminder to the Democratic Party that Twitter is not real life. Rep. Bowman’s social media presence is many times that of Latimer, but mainstream Democrats speak with their votes, not their thumbs.

“Say goodbye to viral social media posts and performative opposition to President Biden’s agenda. New York’s 16^th congressional district will once again be represented by someone more interested in getting something done in Washington than getting noticed.”
