Statement of Third Way President Jon Cowan on the Supreme Court Upholding LGBT Equality

WASHINGTON—Third Way released the following statement from Jon Cowan:

"We applaud the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the equality of LGBT Americans nationwide. By a margin of 6-3, the Court affirmed what the majority of Americans know to be true; our LGBT friends, family, and coworkers are equal in the eyes of society and the law. Millions now are protected in their fundamental right to work and pursue their careers true to themselves.

"We still face serious challenges to ensure that this country lives up to its ideals of liberty and justice for all. Americans everywhere are demanding bold changes to create a more perfect union. Today’s ruling brings us one stride further along that journey."
