Inside Politics Newsletter - May '14
Bill Schneider
In our May 2014 Inside Politics Newsletter, Bill writes about the lack of public urgency in regards to climate change. While recently there has been a surge of public action on same-sex marriage, climate change has not received that same amount of attention. Why? Personal experience. It helped shape the public’s opinion on same-sex marriage, but it has not done the same for climate change (yet). Also: the rapidly changing dynamics of Christianity within the Latino community, and what it means for Democrats, and a look at youth engagement in the 2014 midterm elections.
The infographic on the back page, The State of the Center, illustrates the unique perspectives and underlying values of moderate voters on key issues including energy, guns, and immigration. For more, be sure to visit our new State of the Center website.
