We are huge champions of states forging their own fastest paths to reaching net zero emissions. Just this week, Washington state and Nevada joined climate leaders like California and New Mexico by implementing their own clean energy standards. In both cases, policymakers worked with local unions, industries, and community leaders to design their optimal strategy for eliminating carbon emissions--and in both cases they chose to leave the door open for a wide variety of clean energy resources to help get the job done..
