  • Higher education reform is an area where Republicans and Democrats can agree that holding institutions accountable for the outcomes of their students should be a priority for our legislators. In partnership with Global Strategy Group, we polled 1,400 registered Republican voters nationwide and found that they are supportive of both additional oversight and federal intervention in higher education outcomes. But what do they want that work to look like? And what policy priorities are top of their minds?

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, Third Way’s Lanae Erickson (SVP, Social Policy, Education & Politics) presented these findings with Alex Ivey, Vice President of Research, Global Strategy Group. They explored the reforms Republican voters support and how policymakers can assure their support during the 118th Congress.
