It’s been a big year for House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn. His seminal endorsement in the South Carolina primary helped deliver the state to Joe Biden in a victory that propelled him to the nomination. Then COVID-19 hit, and his team got to work on passing a massive economic relief bill while also drawing attention to the health and economic disparities Black Americans were experiencing as a result of the pandemic. Now, he’s helping to shape both the personnel and policy of the incoming team and the leadership’s vision for the next Congress.
