America’s reputation as a global leader took a hit when the world witnessed the previous administration’s corrupt leadership and incompetent foreign policy. The election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris sent notice that America is back—but we must work to repair our alliances and refocus our priorities abroad.
Third Way had a conversation with Congressman Gregory Meeks on Friday, April 23. We discussed how he will use his position as Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs committee to work with and guide the Biden-Harris Administration on foreign policy, how we reckon with our history to create new equitable opportunities for all Americans, and how he is working as Chair of the CBC PAC to protect the House majority.
Antjuan Seawright, Third Way Senior Visiting Fellow moderated this conversation.
