As Congress debates reauthorizing the Higher Education Act (HEA), a growing chorus of voices is demanding that federally funded institutions take more responsibility for whether the students they enroll actually graduate and enter the workforce equipped to get a good job and repay their loans. Third Way is honored to host Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), a champion of improving the quality of American education at every level, to offer his vision for what that shift could look like in the next iteration of HEA.

Join us on Thursday, April 11th, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at the Columbus Club room at Union Station for these remarks and a conversation to follow with Third Way Senior Vice President for Social Policy & Politics Lanae Erickson on both the policy and political context of his effort to get students and taxpayers a greater return on their investment in higher education.
