Across the Finish Line: How Bottom Line Boosts College Success

    • Since 1997, Bottom Line has been helping students from under-resourced communities get to and through college. By providing high schoolers and prospective students with one-on-one application support and staying connected through their college graduation, the program ensures that students have the skills and resources they need to persist and complete degrees.

    In 2021, Dr. Benjamin Castleman (Associate Professor of Public Policy and Education at the University of Virginia) and Andrew Barr (Associate Professor of Economics at Texas A&M University) released a paper examining the results of the randomized control trial that they used to evaluate the program’s efficacy. Dr. Castleman joined Third Way on September 6, 2023 to chat about the results and Bottom Line’s successes.
