National Health Expenditure Savings-Duals Care Coordination
This analysis estimates potential savings to Medicare, Medicaid, private health insurance (PHI) and out-of-pocket (OOP) based on a policy that coordinates coverage for Americans who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid.
In summary, projected savings to Medicare total $25.3 billion over the 10-year period (2015-2024) and projected savings to Medicaid, PHI and OOP total $23.0 billion, $2.5 billion, and $1.7 billion respectively.
