Third Way’s Dr. Rudra V. Kapila Named Vice Chair of White House Carbon Management Task Force
WASHINGTON—Third Way released the following statement from Dr. Rudra V. Kapila on her appointment as Vice Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality’s Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Sequestration (CCUS) Permitting Task Force for Non-Federal Lands. In her role, Dr. Kapila will serve as a conduit between the Federal Government and clean energy leaders to develop federal carbon management policies.
“Carbon management holds the key to slashing emissions and creating clean energy jobs all while decarbonizing our economy,” said Dr. Rudra V. Kapila. “But we cannot responsibly develop and deploy these projects without the input of the communities and workforces that will ensure their success. I am humbled and honored to represent Third Way as Vice Chair to the CCUS Permitting Task Force for Non-Federal Lands to support the Biden Administration’s commitment to carbon management technology and environmental justice to accelerate our net-zero efforts.”
