​Third Way Statement on House Passage of the Rule to Consider Trade Promotion Authority

“Today’s procedural House vote is proof that there is bipartisan momentum to pass trade legislation. Tomorrow, Democrats must decide if they are the Party of the future or the past, as there is no path to middle class prosperity without increasing our exports to Asia. There are times when doing what’s right for the middle class and the economy means taking a tough vote that’s opposed by special interests. For Democrats, tomorrow is that time.”
