Third Way Statement about Rep. Allyson Schwartz

Third Way Senior Vice President Matt Bennett issued the following statement regarding the Rep. Allyson Schwartz:

“Yesterday, we were contacted by the campaign of Representative Allyson Schwartz and told that she was resigning her positions with all DC-based organizations and groups in an effort to focus on her race for Governor of Pennsylvania. As she noted in an interview yesterday with a Pennsylvania reporter, Rep. Schwartz stepped down from the House Budget Committee, from her leadership position in the House New Democratic Coalition, and from a few House caucuses, in addition to her honorary position with Third Way.

“We have been privileged to work closely with Rep. Schwartz over the last few years and to have her as an Honorary Co-Chair. We wish her well in her race for Governor.”
