That is what America needs and that is why we applaud the selection of Governor Tim Walz to be Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate.

“Throughout his career in Congress and as governor of Minnesota Tim Walz has been a moderate, pragmatic, mainstream Democrat in the best Midwest tradition. Under his leadership, Minnesota’s economy has rocketed forward and the state was named the 6^th best state for business by CNBC, citing 'competitiveness, workforce, infrastructure, economy, quality of life and business friendliness.' As governor, he has passed a bold and pragmatic agenda focusing on education, skills training, business development, infrastructure, clean energy, paid leave and reproductive freedom.

“In Congress, the Lugar Center named Walz one of the most bipartisan Democrats in the House in the 114^th Congress. He called for a $4 trillion dollar deficit reduction package during the Obama Administration and 'pay-as-you-go' budgeting. He remains the highest-ranking enlisted soldier to ever serve in Congress.
