Statement from Third Way on Supreme Court Agreement to Hear Marriage Cases

Today's announcement that the Supreme Court will hear four cases on marriage for gay couples is the next step in our country's long journey towards recognizing and valuing the love and commitment of all couples. Third Way is proud to have long stood on the side of marriage and looks forward to the day—hopefully as soon as June—when all couples will be able to stand up and make vows in front of their families and friends, and have those promises legally recognized regardless of the state in which they live. Thirty-five states have already taken this step—now it is the Supreme Court's turn to write it into history once and for all.
