What Voters Think About New Higher Education Loan Limits and Accountability Reforms
Ben Cecil & Michelle Dimino
The higher education landscape is evolving rapidly, prompting students and taxpayers to scrutinize ongoing reforms. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act has transformed how students finance their education, set new accountability standards for schools, and sought to better align postsecondary pathways with workforce needs.
As OBBBA changes take effect this year, this analysis reveals that voters strongly value higher education but expect continued reforms to ensure the system delivers meaningful results.
This presentation deck highlights findings from a national poll of 1,001 voters conducted with Global Strategy Group and GS Strategy Group from November 4-9, 2025. The margin of error is +/- 3.1%.
