The glaring inequities in American society have been under the spotlight throughout the crises of 2020. The road ahead must include critical democratic overhauls, including expanding voting rights, criminal justice reform, and restoring faith in American institutions. Third Way’s Akunna Cook hosts a conversation with the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, Eric H. Holder, Jr.
AG Holder served as Attorney General from February 2009 to April 2015. He was the third-longest serving Attorney General in U.S. history and the first African American to hold that office. He is an internationally recognized leader on criminal justice, voting rights, and democratic reform. As Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, Holder oversees a comprehensive redistricting strategy that shifts the redistricting power, creating fair districts where Democrats can compete. He continues to practice law as a Partner at Covington & Burling LLP.
