COVID-19 is devastating the black community and exposing persistent socio-economic gaps in our country. As our federal, state, and local governments respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, we must ensure that these racial disparities are not exacerbated by the policy response.

House Majority Whip James Clyburn joins Third Way's Akunna Coook for a conversation about how COVID-19 is affecting black communities and the policies we need to ensure all communities survive and thrive as the country recovers. Whip Clyburn leads the bipartisan House committee providing oversight on the $2 trillion relief package. He has also been a longtime leader in efforts to fight poverty in black communities and is an honorary co-chair of Third Way.
