Ryan McConaghy
Director of the Economic Program
Ryan McConaghy is the Director of the Economic Program at Third Way where he works on an array of economic issues pertaining to economic growth and the success of middle class Americans. Previously, McConaghy served as Legislative Director for Representative John Hall (D-NY-13) and worked in the office of Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) as the Legislative Assistant overseeing energy policy, national defense issues, foreign affairs, agriculture, and other matters. In 2006 he served as Policy Director during Sheldon Whitehouse’s successful Senate campaign in Rhode Island.
Mr. McConaghy graduated from American University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in International Studies. He has commented on policy and political matters in a variety of media outlets, including The Washington Post, MSNBC, The Boston Globe, The Financial Times, Roll Call, Congressional Quarterly, The Huffington Post, CNN, Fox News, Bloomberg TV, CNBC, and the BBC.
