Michelle Diggles, Ph. D
Senior Political Analyst, Social Policy & Politics Program
Michelle Diggles is the Senior Political Analyst for the Social Policy & Politics Program at Third Way. She focuses on political identity, demography, and the center of the American electorate—self-described moderates and independents.
Michelle holds a PhD in Political Science and has taught at American University, Lewis & Clark College, Portland State University, and the University of Oregon. Her academic expertise includes cultural identity, ideology, and institutional change. She received her B.S. in Political Science and her Certificate for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and earned her Ph.D. at the University of Oregon. Michelle has a history of involvement in Wisconsin politics, including serving as the I/E coordinator of We Are Wisconsin, the President of United Council of University of Wisconsin Students, and working for Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI).
