September 25, 2015
WASHINGTON – Today Third Way President Jonathan Cowan released the following statement regarding Third Way Vice President Lanae Erickson Hatalsky’s appointment to the President’s Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships:
"We could not be prouder to see Lanae Erickson Hatalsky, a Vice President and longtime member of our Third Way family, appointed to the President's Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Throughout her tenure at Third Way, Lanae has worked tirelessly to find common ground and effectively develop pragmatic solutions for some of the most difficult and divisive issues facing our country, from immigration and education to abortion and guns. She has dedicated years to our groundbreaking work of reframing marriage for gay couples in a language of shared American values, undoubtedly helping to pave the way for nationwide acceptance of the Supreme Court's decision this past summer. She has been outspoken on the importance of religious liberty in our country and has helped craft innovative, creative solutions to protect it and ensure that no one can use their religious beliefs to infringe on the freedoms of others. There is no one who can better engage in this interfaith conversation and advise the Administration on these important issues than Lanae."
