Kelsey spent her childhood running around the mountains of North Carolina. She could often be found romping around the woods with a walkie talkie in hand reporting on the local flora and fauna to her family. This appreciation for the outdoors developed into a passion for the protection of natural spaces and led her to pursue a career focused on climate adaptation and resilience.
As a Fellow for Third Way’s Climate and Energy Team, Kelsey conducts indepth research on clean energy topics and develops proposals to present Third Way’s policies to legislative officials. She seeks to communicate the importance of clean energy innovation in addressing climate change through her work. Prior to joining Third Way, Kelsey worked at the International Technology and Trade Associates Inc. where she researched and developed reports on clean energy and electricity topics ranging from offshore wind, solar, and energy storage to carbon capture, manufacturing, and transmission.
Kelsey has a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from American University’s Kogod School of Business. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environment and Sustainability Studies and a minor in Politics and International Affairs from Wake Forest University.
