Brandon currently serves as the National Security Fellow at Third Way. He is originally from Chicago, IL and has always had an interest in politics and national security. As a child, his favorite scenes from the West Wing were watching the fictional National Security Advisor, Dr. McNally, advise President Bartlet. Both his parents currently serve in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and his two sisters serve on active duty in the U.S. Air Force, which led him to want to pursue a career in the Army JAG Corps.
Previously, Brandon worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Matani at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He has also served as a law clerk at the United States Agency for International Development’s Office of Inspector General, the Office of Senator Richard Durbin (D-IL), the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, and the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Law and National Security.
Brandon is a passionate advocate for others. While pursuing an undergraduate education, Brandon served as the undergraduate student government vice president and he used his platform to start a food-pantry on campus for homeless and low-income students. It inspired him to pursue a career in the legal profession.
Brandon attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where he received his undergraduate degree with a major in political science. He received his J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law.
