Anna Leach

Anna has a passion for making a difference. She fell in love with Washington, D.C. and the impact one can have working there when she spent an off-campus semester in the District. She returned immediately after graduating and has since been working to effect positive change every day.

Part of the Outreach and Engagement Program, Anna is responsible for coordinating the development of Third Way’s keystone economic conference in 2018. Prior to joining Third Way, Anna served as a Presidential Appointee for the Obama Administration at the U.S. Department of Education Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships. In this role, she assisted the White House and Department of Education in connecting schools with community partners. She worked with diverse constituencies—ranging from faith groups, community leaders, state leaders, and local politicians—to inspire grassroots support for President Obama’s education policies.

Among the highlights of Anna’s time at the Department was spearheading President Obama’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge. Under her leadership, over 600 campuses signed up and met in Washington, D.C. for a two-day conference focused on campus engagement.

Anna received her Bachelor in Social Studies for Secondary Education from Hope College in Holland, MI and her Masters in Higher Education Administration from George Washington University. In her spare time, Anna enjoys socializing with friends and family, running, and curling up with a good book. Anna also enjoys traveling and hopes to visit all 50 states in her lifetime.
