Aki Peritz is the Senior Policy Advisor for National Security at Third Way. Previously he spent several years as a counterterrorism analyst for the U.S. government. He has authored or co-authored various publications on a wide range of national security topics, including: counterterrorism, cyberspace, illicit nuclear proliferation networks, post-9/11 legal doctrine, U.S. intelligence cooperation with Middle Eastern and Asian nations, Iraqi leadership dynamics, and military issues in South Asia. Mr. Peritz also served as a Deputy Finance Director for the DNC, and Director of Special Projects for the 2004 John Kerry for President campaign. Mr. Peritz has a Master of Arts from the University of Washington’s Jackson School of International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. He has written for a number of media outlets including POLITICO and offered analysis on national security and foreign policy issues on television, including Fox News.
