Julie Zelnick is a Policy Advisor for National Security at Third Way. Previously she served as the Military Legislative Assistant to Congressman Vic Snyder (D-AR), the former Chairman of the House Armed Services’ Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee. There she handled the Congressman’s committee and national security policy work. She focused on defense issues such as weapons systems, interagency coordination, military professional education, military operations, personnel and budget. Prior to working on Capitol Hill, Julie managed a State Senate campaign in Texas and worked in multiple states on Hillary Clinton’s 2008 Presidential campaign. Julie began her career at Foreign Reports Inc., researching and editing daily reports on Middle Eastern politics and oil pricing. Julie earned a Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University.
