Michelle Diggles is a Senior Policy Advisor for Third Way’s Social Policy & Politics Program. She focuses on understanding the center of the American electorate—self-described moderates and Independents. Before joining Third Way, Michelle was a Professor at Lewis & Clark College, where her expertise included culture, ideology, and research methods. Most recently Michelle worked on the We Are Wisconsin campaign, the coalition of community and labor groups in the recall elections. She has a history of involvement in Wisconsin politics, including serving as a lobbyist and President for United Council of University of Wisconsin Students and working on Rep. Tammy Baldwin’s (D-WI) campaigns. Michelle received her B.S. in Political Science and her Certificate for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Oregon.
